Description:

I purchased this book and cd from the author, Clint Voris. The original claim was this this was an instructional book on airbrushing models horses. No where in the description of this book did it indicate it was for a person unfamiliar to airbrushes or with marginal equipment. It was claimed to "teach" you to paint your hoses "like" the author. It was signed Zen Master of Airbrushing.
Upon recovering from the shock of reading through this book, I thought I may be being to harsh on my opinion. I showed it to several of my artisit friends and contacted some model horse customizers. I now feel that I was not over reacting.
If you want to know what types of compressors are out there and the difference between a single action and double action airbrush. Want to learn about the authors life or his buddies, then you may find this book helpful. Out of 69 pages only 18 have any information about actually painting the models. (without mention as to what psi to try, etc.)
I was really disappointed in this book and I would NOT recommend it to anyone who wanted to further their art work on specifically model horses. I can not comment on the cd, as I could never get it to work on my computer.
I do see that he has since changed the name of the book. Maybe he did not like my comments after all.
I feel I was burned bad and it will definiately cause me to take pause before I purchase another book of this type without looking through it first.
