Made to project vertically down onto work, drawing or drafting table. It comes equipped with an adjustable vertical stand that easily clamps to any table surface up to 2 inches thick.
Original designs and patterns up to 6x6" can be projected onto table top from a reduction size of 70% of original to a 4x enlargement of originals in just a matter of seconds. Two adjustable magnetic copy clips keep originals securely in place.
You can also easily remove this projector from the stand for enlarging up to 30x original size ( 15 x15 feet! ) onto wall or canvas for producing murals, banners, signs or any large graphics. The 250-watt photo bulb provides for bright and clear images.
To use just attach stand to your drawing board or work table, mount design or photo into the convenient magnetic copy board, adjust to desired size, focus and trace image. Images are sharp and bright. With powerful fan for cool operation, front loading 6x6” magnetic hinged copyboard, 250-watt bulb and 200mm high quality ground glass lens.
Artograph Designmaster Opaque Art Projector retail cost is $229.95 US.

Pros:
|
Does both enlargements AND reductions...table mount stand or can be used horizontally w/o stand...large copy size.
|
|
Cons:
|
Gets a little hot with 250 watt bulb, has adequate cooling fan, however, I would recommend that after 20-30 minutes of constant use, shutting it off for short cool down.

I have used several opaque projectors, but this one is really a versatile unit and delivers crisp clean image in low light...does not have to be that dark in area unless projecting onto dark surface. Works great for table top and equally as well for horizontal projections on walls, canvas, or Tee\'s. It enlarges AND reduces the image. The top loading copy area is much larger than standard projectors that are placed over image and much more convienient to use.
I have used this unit now for many years and have only had to replace a couple of bulbs. Works quite well for projecting image on black surface...musch better than standard units.
I highly recommend the Designmaster if you need a versatile all around projector for your shop or studio!!

Pros:

Vertical & horizontal projection. Large image tray. Includes stand.

Cons:
|
Noisy fan and gets quite warm

This is the first opaque project that I have ever used, but I am pretty satisfied with it. When transferring onto dark material I usually wait until it\'s dark outside so the room is totally black. Light colored supports are no problem to transfer during daylight. For the price you really can\'t go wrong with this projector.

max paper size is about 6x6

NOTE: I am reviewing a DM II. This is the only projector I have ever used. It requires almost complete darkness for detailed work or dark colors. Stand is quite expensive but it is possible to fabricate your own. Uses 2 250W bulbs that get quite hot causing you paper image to distort and sag. Clip hold downs (mine is old I think newer ones use magnets) are not the best.. I find if you use max image size 6\"x6\" you get a lot of edge distortion.
All that said, it has expanded what I can do with my airbrush since i can not draw. This is one of the best purchase I have made this year.
