Description: *****They no longer sell this airbrush Iwata came out with a new one the HP-C Plus 2006*******

0.3mm fluid nozzle opening
Adjustable main lever tension
Double action main lever
Spray pattern: hairline to 1" (hairline to 25mm)
Gravity feed cup
An ideal airbrush when versatility and dependability are an absolute necessity. This airbrush does it all—from fine hairlines to finely atomized background spray, along with an entire range of stippling effects. The gravity feed cup is useful for mixing custom colors and allows quick color changes. The rounded cup design cleans quickly with a paper towel. The short paint passageway from the cup to the front of the airbrush gives the HP-C a responsive feel and allows it to be the quickest cleaning airbrush in the industry. The HP-C is the cornerstone of the Iwata airbrush series preferred by students and professionals alike as their main airbrush.

The HP-C is the most versatile of the HP series airbrushes. Its larger 1/3oz. (9ml) gravity feed cup and larger needle/nozzle configuration allow for use with most media. Great for both fine work and larger background spraying. Fine artists, students, set designers, craft and decorative painters, often use the HP-C.

Pros: Big paint cup, ease of operation, easy and simple to clean
Cons: None

Compared to other AB's I have used this is top shelf. No clogging problems and ease of use make this a brush that beginners or professionals can use with confidence. I would recomend this AB to anyone wanting to start learning how to AB.Makes painting easy and simple for beginers.

Pros: Easy to use and good detail
Cons: None

Of the 3 airbrushes that I own, the HP-C is by far the one that I reach for first. It's a high quality gun that feels good in your hand. As a beginner I can strongly recommend the HP-C as a gun that will give you room to grow and support you in that growth.

Pros: Paint cup size, ease of use and cleaning
Cons: Nada, zilich

being a newbe, this had made painting easy and trouble free. I have spent many hours using it with no cloging and at low 10-15 psi. Would recomend this Ab highly to anyone interested.

Pros: Great quality- the finish is excellent, outstanding trigger controll
Cons: Paint cup could be better

I think the HP-C is a great airbrush. Like most Iwata's the trigger design is excellent in that it allows for great control-very smooth feel. This makes a big difference in gaining control of your airbrush. I would recommend this airbrush to most people looking for a versatile gravity feed double action brush.

Pros: great for detail
Cons: runs out of paint on large areas

If your doing models, or small pictures, then this is a great brush to have, it feels nice and can achieve very small details that other brushes cannot seem to get.

However, if you paint larger items, backgrounds, murals, large scale pictures, then you need a brush that can hold enough paint to cover a broader area, like an airbrush with a bottom feed.

The atomization is great, the pressure works even at like 10psi, cannot be beat for very fine detail. IMO

Pros: No clogging, easy to clean, easy triggering
Cons: None

I actually have the HP-C Plus and although I don't have a lot of experience with different brushes, compared to the first one I purchased, this is amazing. My next brush will be another Iwata. I'm not even interested in trying another brand.

Pros: Dependable airbrush
Cons: Seems to get paint leaking into the trigger

Good overall brush. Trigger action feels hard. Can get a good line with it

Pros: Very easy to use
Cons: Many missed dinners

After trying to use a Badger Anthem for detail work on T-shirts and having constant clogging problems I bought the HP-C. What a difference. It\'s like going \"how the hell do they do that\" to \"wow,I did that!!\" This gun gives you confidence. All I can say is just buy one! [u]

Pros:
Cons:

Very nice brush for medium to detailing range. Good for fairly small details but not for extremely exact detailing.

Not too good for very large area covering because the spray pattern is not that wide. Something like Iwata BCS beats this one there. Does not handle very thick paint too easily.

Every illustrator should probably have one of these (backed up with something else for serious detailing) while a t-shirt painter choses another brush.

A great medium range general purpose ab.

Pros: Great reasonable priced high end airbrush, easy trigger action precisely made.
Cons: Tip is screwed into the body, if you happen to snap off the tip inside the body it can cause problems and possibly wreck the airbrush.

I like eveything about the Iwata HP-C except the fact that the tip is screwed into the body. Great care must be taken if you need to take the tip out of this airbrush, unscrewing a stuck tip or overtightening can cause the tip to snap off leaving the tip treads still inside the body. Still, with normal care this is a great airbrush that will be with you for a very long time.

Pros: extremely versatile
Cons: not the finest detail producing gun out there

This airbrush to the most versatile airbrush I own. I use it for everything from shirts to tanks. The cup size is large enough to to hold enough paint to do most jobs.
The needle is not the smallest in the world. Also, I would not use it for high volume T-shirt application. I have to remove the needle tip in order to clean tip dry or work without the tip on the gun which can lead to needle damage.

Pros: Great control and very easy to clean
Cons: None at this time

I believe Rick states it best in his review below. I also went from a Badger Anthem to the
HP-C. I cannot believe the control and precision that I have received just by changing airbrushes. Just goes to show “You get what you pay for.”
