Pros: Quality and detail
Cons: Price

I have 3 different Iwata Airbrushes. The Custom Micron B is an incredible gun capable of much finer detail than my skills can currently support. I hope to some day work up to the level of this fine tool

Pros: For extreme detail there is no better gun
Cons: absolutely none

My favorite gun, this thing with properly thinned urethane is my weapon of choice when it comes to mural or detail work. It is made like a fine swiss watch, beautiful finish and action and laser like precision.

Pros: Extreme precison, hair line work all day, easy cleaning and maintenance. Finest airbrush I have found.
Cons: A bit pricey for the new airbrusher.

The Iwata Micron \"B\" is the most precise airbrush I have found. If you are looking for an airbrush, that if taken care of, creates fine hair lines, time after time with fluid trigger action, this work horse is for you. Buy once, take care of it, and it will last forever. The 1/8 oz. gravity feed color cup holds enough paint for the fine work this airbrush is noted for without getting in the view of the airbrusher. The Micron\'s tip is in the head assembly which makes clean up easier than the Iwata HP models that have the tip screwed into the body. For hair lines to bold lines the Micron \"B\" can\'t be beat.

Pros: Most detail 2B had
Cons: O-rings are not solvent proof. Can't use automotive paints

I've used the brush a few time with Dr. Ph Martin's dyes. It is INSANE. The action is so smooth, it doesn't even feel like it's made of metal. The detail is such that one can litterally get lost playing around to see how fine a line you get. Alas the Micron (at least the one I had from 1996) boasts no protection from the harsh chemicals that make up solvent based paints. A real shame as the detail achieved with a properly thinned automotive paint would be unreal when combined with the micron.
