So many times I have been delayed painting becouse I always have to break down my airbrush
becouse of clogging. The smaller the needle size the more downtime. I have tried various straining
setups with little success. While at my local Ace hardware store in the hobby isle, I saw the strainer in the enclosed photos. This set was pre packaged in a set of three. I bought them and just in a few minutes after straining my paint no more issues
of paint clogging. In the photos you will see a gravity feed airbrush and a photo of me holding an airbrush with a side clip on cup. When you order from Dick Blick, you get these seperate. Four screen sizes, 40, 60, 80, and 100 being the finest mesh.
The price is around $5.00 each strainer. Even with using the #40 mesh that is not fine, I was suprised
at all the paint residue on the screen. The screen is stainless steel mesh. I pre thinned water base paint, and poured into the strainer. When done
just wash it out. When ordering from Dick Blick you can get a discount if ordering I believe 6 or more.
The thing is that these are such good quality. I am very happy with this product. They may be available at other art supply stores as well. Dick Blick is a supplier of all four sizes. Go to
