Description:
|
Iwata's Sprint Jet is a great compressor for the occasional and professional artist doing general airbrush applications. The Sprint Jet is powerful, compact, reliable, and quiet.
This compressor has a maintenance-free, oil-less, piston motor, with an on/off switch. A moisture filter prevents pulsation. A mounted air pressure gauge allows a working pressure up to 35 psi. A high strength polyurethane air hose is included, which fits all Iwata airbrushes.

Pros:
|
I use it with a micron.
|
|
Cons:
|
Limited airbrush use and only a 40% duty cycle.

I got this compressor in a kit for my daughter last week, I’ve use it quiet a bit so far with all my airbrushes, and here’s my findings:
Iwata Custom Micron C+: works Awesome with a WORKING pressure of 0-61PSI
Iwata Highline C+: works good with a WORKING pressure of 0-37PSI
Iwata Revolution BCR works ok with a WORKING pressure of 0-32PSI
Iwata BCS: NOT recommended because the WORKING pressure was only 0-22PSI
After about 1 hour of use condensation begins to reach the airbrush do to hot air from the compressor cooling in the airhose itself.
Overall with the right airbrush this can be a good compressor for general use if the proper steps are taken to prevent water from reaching your airbrush by adding another water trap and you turn it off manually when you stop painting for any amount of time to allow it to cool.
Rick.
