After onwning a VL and Anthem for a few months I realized I needed a brush for detail work. I could not afford the micro, so this was next in line. I have to say Iwata\'s quality has got the other beat by a light year! This brush is easy to clean, and every thing the manufacture says about it is TRUE! I could quoat Iwata, but you have probably already read what they have written about the bursh.
The mac valve is very usefull when adding a stipple effect to a painting, just turn down the air till you get a sputter of paint. You can fine tune the air pressure to achive the finest line with the least overspray on the fly. This is much more important that you would think, especialy if you are new to airbrushing. I have not used the preset as of yet (had brush less then a week) but you can set the triger with a positive stop. Set your line width and go, no fear of pulling back to far. Again this may be helpfull to the expert but probably more usefull to the novice like myself when outlining a cartoon face for instance. I will post a follow up in a few months after I have had time to really use this baby!

Update 2 years later:
Still love this brush, I use the HP-BH and HP-CH for almost everthing I paint.
Worth every penny paid!

So Doug your a saying that the needle is still weak on this new airbrush ? I owned a custom micron b en have an eclipse , now the custom micron had a verry weak needle and the eclipse is better ( sorry for my englisch writting).I am intersted in the the new line of Iwata ( maybe the hp-ah) but the needle being so weak again hold me from buying this one although I not had the oppertunity to try one...

No the needle is not week just very thin. It is much harder to damage then a badger 155 (have about 6 needles for that) I still love this thing, but is a bit to small for t-shirt work. I still use it for shirt detail, but I am thinking about a hp- c or cs for shirts.

So are there more users on this airbrush ? I own a eclipse and a paasche ab turbo wich I use for nearly any work , but I am still looking for that airbrush that comes in the middle , so for detail and some bigger parts of the artwork..

I have been shooting with a HP-CS and it is a good gun but I wanted something fine line. The HP-BH allowed me to shoot nice fine lines right out of the box. I consider my skill level to be just above a beginner so if I can shoot a fine line a good air head could make this thing sing.
It is built great and feels good like an Iwata should.
