If it has a tank on it, it should shut off when the tank reaches max pressure which is usualy between 110 and 120 psi and the regulater will allow you to spray at 30 psi. Then the compessor should kick back on when the tank pressure gets down to 50 to 60 psi. It all depends on the factory settings for your compressor.
