If you are spraying at 60 psi it would take very little time for that tank to drain of any stored air thus the compressor has to run to refill it, the out put is much great than the capicty of that compressor to refill it, if you where to use a gravity feed airbrush with golden airbrush colors at 15 psi you won't have the problem you are now. Make sense?

from the picture there should be a knob on top of the airbrush pressure gauge that allows you to dail in the pressure, lower that , use a good illustration type paint and see if that helps, it should
