Guild Guitar W.I.P.
Hi everyone, This guitar was brought to me by a guy who saw the Gibson guitar with the confederate flag that I recently painted. He tells me he paid a big bundle for this guitar.To me it looked like a K-Mart special. Can someone tell me if this is an expensive guitar( I know nothing about guitars except that I like to paint them)?He wants a painting of a firebird rising out of blue fire and the fire tips emanating into musical notes. The reference pic is from the album "Stravinsky: The Firebird Suite". This is where I need some help ( never painted blue fire) I'm using Auto Air...should I use Cobalt blue or Brite blue candy? Also do you build layers like "True Fire" .....is there a "How to " on this subject? So far I have put a layer of clear coat on (as per his instructions) and then I'm going to put a base of black for the fire and bird.I will keep posting as I go.
