Default Little Chief ready for take off

Well I finally finished my P-47D Razorback tonight.
I was not real pleased with the finish but it came out fairly well I guess.
It was painted with Tamiya acrylics through my Omni 4000 and Badger 360 airbrushes.

Mike,
That is clean looking. I used to paint big jets at the Oakland Airport back in the 1970's. I like the way you did the Chief and the white stripe is super clean looking. I had to do a double take. Pretty real. There used to be a shop next door to us that restored (warbirds) just like that and P-51s, DC-3s, etc.
Nothing like a piston engine flying over your hanger and rattling the walls. LOLOL Your plane brings back some great memories. Can't wait to see your
next one.

Thank You very much gentlemen I am humbled by your kind words.

I am just an airplane nut and there is no cure.

My two next I am working on will be a Lockheed P-38J Lightning and an F/A-18F Super Hornet.
I may do the P-38J like Richard Bong's plane who was the top ace of WWII with 40 kills.

Not sure which F/A-18F Super Hornet I will do but it will be cool too I hope.

Thanks Brad and Diaz. Modeling is a blast because you have to build it and make it all fit, patch seams and all so it looks realistic and then airbrush it and apply a wash to it to make it look dirty and used.
