Default painting in progress

Here is a painting I've been working on in my spare time, its not done yet but is getting close. Its all freehand and I didnt use references so that it would be more stylized. The white areas are just spots that will be painted over next, let me know what you think

Cool work,

I wish I could freehand like that! I agree with Isa, sharp work and the style you created is really unique and rich. Great stuff

That is quite awesome cotto. Is that on canvass and how big is it? I would like to try a mural on canvass but don't know the first thing about it. Jim

Fantastic!..... I love that style....the leaves are an eye catcher....
Funny thing, when airbrushers see work like that, we have more understanding of what talent it takes to bring out details in a project.I dont just see a project I see time, effort, and heart that goes into it....

Im very impressed with the rich colors, and flow.... I hope you post more.

Thanks for the support guys! I wish I could paint like Bob Ross, it would have been finished in half an hour, lol.
Here the technical info: the surface is 4'x4',3/4" MDF(or some sort of hardboard), the paint is createx textile paint with house primer, and the airbrush used is the Iwata Hi-Line HP-CH (with a little bit of Eclipse BCS)
I really appreciate the nice comments and look forward to posting when its done

thanks Kwit, the sky is tricky because I have to avoid mixing the yellow with the purple or it turns to mud. Luckily I can always white out and try the blend again...getting there!

The main trick with the leaves (these ones aren't finished yet) is to have your darkest colour next to your lightest colour. Not everywhere, but where you can, have either a yellow hilight or very pale green ( depending on your lighting) and cut it in with your deepest green, starting the fade again to emerald green and then to your hilight, for the next tier of leaves, and then repeat.

VERY nice work Cotto, kind of reminds me of children books illustration. Your painting shows great brush control and wonderful color concept, looking forward to seeing more posts from you.
