Using waterslide in your airbrush designs

Hello, I was looking around the site and saw a section on Using waterslide in your airbrush designs. Where do you get the paper? Where do you get the 100 bill images? One last question can you spray urethane clear over it?

I don't know where they got the image as every copier that has been used where I work in the last 10 years will not copy US currency. I use the Micro Mark brand at work I have tried others and they didn't work as well. You can do a web search on decal paper to find places that sell it. Yes you can clear over them and need to for protection. They also lay down best over a smooth glossy surface. You can buy decal softner to 'soften' them up to conform to surfaces better but it makes them very delicate.

HAHA! I never said or implied I tried to make counterfeit money.I have never tried to copy money on a copier- I was responding to the post as I have many years experience using water slide decals and dry transfers. The previous Toshiba copier and the current Cannon copier at my place of work will not scan or copy US currency. They even have warning labels saying they wouldn't.

AH,AH, I did not intend to imply that anyone were making funny money, unless you can find someone to print the bills for you , you will need to buy your own copy machine

Good question about yellowing and the ink fading. Model kit decals are known for yellowing with age. This is from the clear that is sprayed over the decal. If you have an old model kit with decals that have yellowed try placing the decal in sunlight as this helps get rid of the 'yellowing'. Printing your own is a different story since you can decide what clear to use. After printing decals out use a non-yellowing clear compatible with your paint and final clear.
Yes the ink will fade and fade quick in direct sunlight. To get around this use a inkjet printer that uses archival quality ink. Usually the ones that print photo quality pictures use this ink. Of course a final clear coat with a UV inhibitor helps.
